Holiday Travels

In just 6 hours, 4 of my teammates and I will be mounting bikes on our way to the train station for a much anticipated trip to Berlin!  This is the first real trip we are taking since arriving, one that is more than a day in another city, as well as each person’s first time in Germany.  I think it is needless to say that we are all pretty excited!

Christmas Open Huis
It is also a much needed break for us though, at least for me!  The last few weeks have been so draining, emotionally, physically, and mentally.  Just this week, we hosted a Christmas open huis, had a team Christmas dinner, attended a going-away party for a student, bought plane tickets to Spain for our mid-year conference, and participated in a flash-mob at the City Center.  And mind you, all this was in 3 days and on top of all of our normal activities.  So it has been a lot leading up to what I believe is a well-deserved holiday!

The Team at Team Christmas Dinner

We have worked so hard this semester; as we reflected on the past 4 months today, we were all just so amazed at how much God has done.  No, we haven’t actually seen a student come to Christ yet, but as a student said today, we’ve “messed with their brains”, getting them thinking and questioning what they do believe.  In my book, that is pretty awesome!

Merry Christmas to you all, and please keep my team in your prayers as we travel!
