I have a lot to be thankful for, more than I could possibly write in any blog post, journal, or notebook. But today, I am grateful that God has not allowed me to get too comfortable here. This may sound strange, but let me explain.
As I biked back from City Centrum today, I had yet another moment of "Wait...I live in Europe!" I've been in the Netherlands almost 4 months, and I am grateful that I still have moments like that. If I get too comfortable, I get restless, wanting to leave or change things up. In school, it happened all the time. Usually I could satisfy those feelings of restlessness by moving my furniture around in my room, going for a visit home, or doing something super fun or crazy with my friends. But here, it's a lot harder. Yes, we can go travelling around Europe, but it is still limited because of finances.

But you know, I haven't had many urges since getting here. Like today, I'm still having those refreshing moments and new experiences that keep me from getting too comfortable. Whether it happens from going to High Tea with the girls, dealing with team conflicts, or travelling somewhere new, God has been keeping me on my toes. For that, I am very grateful. I have the perfect amount of comfort here in the Netherlands, without getting too comfortable or restless.
Praise God for that.
