“4 Hands, 1 Stomach”

Wednesday, August 18, 2013

One of my favorite experiences in the Netherlands this year (I think I say this in every blog post) has been getting to hang out with a great Christian organization called Ichthus, which is basically the European Intervarsity.  Steve, Eric, and I have had the privilege of attending some of their introductory events for the school year.  Getting to meet a great group of people, have incredible fellowship with other Christians, and learn more about the Dutch Christian students all cumulate into really helping us adjust to life and ministry here in Tilburg.

In our first week or so in country, Heiko, our team leader, used the phrase “4 Hands, 1 Stomach”.  I had never heard it before, so it kind of made me laugh.  But it is a great metaphor to what we are doing in getting involved with the various Christian organizations.  Our goal is to all work together to really reach the students and start a movement at Tilburg University, and it is so cool to have the opportunity to work with them to do this.  Together, working towards the same goal, we can do it.
